Sometimes there’s no wind to go KAPing or there’s no space to get the kite aloft. You don’t always need more than 10 m for the camera. First I put together two telescopic poles. But getting 9 m upright let the poles with the rig bend.
So I looked for an apple picker telescopic pole, took one of my pool poles and an old pole from a clothes spider (?). This light weight telepole gets up to 8 m. With a platform on my VW bus I reach 10 m – enough for an unusual point of view. A gallows carries the rig or you can put the camera for 360 degrees panoramic pictures or for spherical virtual reality pics (VR) onto it. A two way water-level helps to get the pole upright. >Foto<
The camera is triggered radio controlled or by cable same with the video signal.
PAP gets KAP
When I add a modified pan-servo I can use the PAP-rig for KAPing. I just have to let a metal lip slip under a bar and fix all with a special nut. A rubber saves the nut from loosing. After connecting the servo with the RC-receiver the changing is done.
